Padding your Home Wall
Taking Your Home Wall to the Next Level Starts from the Ground Up
So you've built the wall—or at least you've spent countless hours dreaming about it. You've obsessed over angles, aretes, hold shapes, and maybe even lighting. But sooner or later, every home wall builder arrives at the same question:
What am I landing on?
The answer depends on how you climb.
Maybe your wall is an extension of your outdoor climbing life. Maybe it's a place for the family to burn off energy after dinner. Maybe Tuesday nights are reserved for friendly projects and trash talk with your climbing partners. Or maybe you're creating the cleanest, most professional-looking training space you've ever seen.
Whatever your vision, your landing system should match it. Wall height, angle, available space, budget, and aesthetics all play a role. Fortunately, there isn't just one right answer.
Let's look at the different landing systems Asana offers and which one might be the perfect fit for your home wall.

Custom Flooring
If you're building your dream wall and want it to feel like a professional climbing gym, custom flooring is hard to beat.
Our Custom Fit Padding is designed specifically for your space. Simply send us a rough sketch or dimensions of your climbing area, and we'll design a system of individual pads that fit your room perfectly. We then top the entire system with a beautiful ballistic nylon topper, creating one seamless, professional-looking landing surface.
Custom flooring delivers the cleanest appearance, exceptional performance, and a premium feel every time you climb.

Modular Drag Pads
Need something more flexible?
Modular Drag Pads are perfect for larger open spaces, training boards, or anyone who wants premium protection without going fully custom.
Because they're built in standard sizes, they're generally more economical than custom flooring while still offering excellent coverage. Each pad features dual-density foam, durable 1000-denier nylon covers, two drag handles, seam covers to eliminate gaps, and hook-and-loop perimeter attachment for adding an optional ballistic topper.
They're durable enough to stand up to years of training—and still easy enough to move around when your space changes.
Highlights
-
Multiple layout options
-
Includes seam covers to reduce pad gaps
-
Approximately 35 pounds per pad for easy repositioning
-
Optional ballistic topper for a clean, consistent landing surface
-
Typical lead time: 2–4 weeks
Bouldering Crash Pads
Already own a stack of crash pads? They may be the perfect place to start.
Crash pads work especially well if your wall isn't extremely tall, you have enough pads to provide good coverage, and you add a thin topper like the Asana VersaPad to eliminate foot-catching gaps between pads.
This is also an excellent solution for climbers who split their time between indoor training and outdoor bouldering. Your pads do double duty—getting you stronger during the week and heading to the crag on the weekend.
Our Superhero Crash Pad offers one of the largest landing footprints available. Place several side-by-side, add VersaPads over the seams, and you've got a comfortable, versatile home climbing setup.
Highlights
-
Great crossover solution for indoor and outdoor climbing
-
Available in multiple sizes and styles
-
Easy to transport to the crag
-
Free shipping available on qualifying orders
-
Most crash pads ship in 2–3 business days
